Terms and Policies

DOLLS

  1. Pre-orders will be hosted on this website only for Miranda's dolls. Often they will be both limited in time and quantity. Delivery periods for pre-orders are an estimate and subject to change. Please read product descriptions carefully for your pre-order purchases.

  2. In Stock Dolls are available at the time of purchase. If only an in-stock doll is ordered, please expect shipment within 7 business days. We are a small business and ship as often as possible :)

  3. In Stock Dolls ordered in the same shopping cart as Made to Order items may take longer to ship. Please allow up to six weeks to receive your shipment notification if you have ordered a Made to Order item. We appreciate your patience.

  4. Dolls listings may have an option for face-up. In that case, a photo example will be viewable in the product listing. If you request face-up option, please allow up to four extra weeks past the blank doll's quoted timeline to receive your shipment notification.

  5. All dolls will be sent fully assembled, with Certificates of Authenticity. 

  6. From time to time Miranda will design a full set and the doll will be posted for sale. The quantity is always limited to 1. Specific items included in each full set will be detailed in the product listing.

  7. Face-ups for Ball Jointed Dolls are delicate. Please handle your doll with care, and minimize the amount you touch the dolls face with bare hands. Please note that face-ups cannot be guaranteed totally permanent, and therefore may need to be repaired after some years of ownership of the doll. Wear and tear can be minimized through proper handling: do not rub the face, scratch or expose to chemicals. 

  8. If you choose to change your dolls face-up, we recommend using Winsor and Newton Brush Cleaner to remove the original face-up. We have not tried acetone to clean our dolls, as we have seen poor reactions between acetone and resin in the past, and therefore warn against using this harsher option.

 

 

 

DOLL CLOTHING TERMS AND POLICIES 

  1. Doll clothing items are made to order. Please allow up to four weeks for processing. 

  2. In Stock items ordered in the same shopping cart as a wig and/or clothing item will take longer to ship since the wigs and clothing are typically made to order. A general rule of thumb is that the shipment time will be attached to whichever product includes the longest made-to-order ETA. 

  3. Doll clothing items are all handmade, so imperfections may be present. Please accept this as a part of the artistic and small-batch nature of our work.

  4. Generally doll clothing should only be cleaned with a damp cloth. 

 

 

WIG TERMS AND POLICIES 

  1. Wigs are made to order. Please allow up to four weeks for processing. 

  2. In Stock items ordered in the same shopping cart as a wig and/or clothing item will take longer to ship since the wigs and clothing are typically made to order. A general rule of thumb is that the shipment time will be attached to whichever product includes the longest made-to-order ETA. 

  3. Wigs are all handmade, so imperfections may be present. Please accept this as a part of the artistic and small-batch nature of our work.

  4. Each wig will have fiber type listed as part of the product description. Please ensure you understand the styling methods acceptable for different fiber types before applying heat or products to your doll’s wig.

 

 

SHIPPING TERMS AND POLICIES

  1. Processing times for products vary. Please refer to individual product listings to find an estimate of when the ship date will occur following your order placement. Generally in-stock items will ship within 7 business days. 

  2. Once an order is placed, we cannot allow cancellations.

  3. You will receive tracking information the following business day after your shipment is posted.

  4. Shipping across the globe has experienced major delays for many months. Please note that we will not provide replacement items due to shipping delays. In the case of a proven lost or damaged item, you must notify us by email of the lost item and actions you have taken (report filed, etc.), and we will work with you to find a solution. For items damaged in transit, please take photos upon arrival and share with us by email immediately.

  5. We are not responsible for any fees, customs duties, taxes or fines effective in the customers country. Please understand your country’s customs rules before making your purchase. We will declare items full value in all cases.

  6. If the item is returned to us due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

  7. Typically, orders will be shipped with USPS priority mail or UPS ground.

 

 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MADE-TO-ORDER & PRE-ORDER ITEMS?

  1. Pre-order items are not in stock, and will be made after a defined pre-order period. We can only provide estimated timing on pre-order completion. We appreciate your patience and are so happy you're interested in our pre-order products!

  2. Made-to-Order items are casted, sewn or created in-house upon confirmation of order. There is no waiting period past the processing time listed in individual item descriptions. We appreciate your patience.

 

 

LAYAWAY POLICIES

  1. We do not offer layaway at this time. If your circumstances require support, please email us by using the contact form, or directly at contact@mirandaofcali.com.
